If
you think that buying car video systems could be helpful because it
would make car trips easier, you are underestimating all of the things
these systems are able to do. These systems are often used in cars,
but that does not mean cars are the only places where they can be used.
In the next few paragraphs, a few ideas will be presented that may
be able to help you get a better understanding of all of the different
places where you can use these systems. Some of the other places where
these DVD players can come in quite handy are:
• On the plane - Taking a long plane trip is a great time to
relax for some, but there are many people who simply are unable to relax
at these times. They find flying to be nerve racking or it may simply
be hard for them to sleep with so many other noises around. A great
way to kind of forget about your surroundings and relax is to bring
a portable DVD player and some headphones with you on your flight. Having
these items with you will help to cancel out all the other noises going
on around you. Likewise, you will be able to better relax because your
mind will be focused on the movie and not on the fact that you are thousands
of feet up in the air.
• In the airport - Even though these items are great to have
on the plane, they are just as useful before you get on the plane. Anybody
who flies with any regularity at all knows that flights seem to never
depart on time and often end up arriving late. What this means for the
traveler and for those who are picking up travelers is that there may
be a lot of down time spent inside the airport waiting for planes. If
you have all of this down time, you might as well find something to
occupy yourself. Watching a movie or other DVD is as good a way as any.
• At the park - This may sound like a stranger idea than it really
is. The fact is that there are some days when you would love to be outside,
but would also love to watch a movie. Simply taking your DVD player
to the park and laying down a blanket and watching the DVD is a great
way to compromise. Doing this will allow you to get the best of both
worlds -- you will be able to enjoy nature and enjoy the movie at the
same time. This may not be the best option for all, but there are many
who enjoy doing things like this.
• In the backyard - One of the recent innovations that has helped
bring families together is a large inflatable movie screen in the backyard.
You are essentially able to blow up this large screen and hook your
portable DVD player up to a projector and watch the movie in the backyard.
You can make your own popcorn and set up some lawn chairs and blankets
and watch and have a good time. It is almost like going to a drive-in
movie, without the cars of course. It is a great way to encourage family
bonding or even have the neighborhood come over and visit.
• In the home - If you have one stationary DVD player inside
of the home, but want to watch one movie while your kids may want to
watch a different movie, you can bring the portable DVD player inside
of the home and hook it up to one of your other televisions in the home.
As you can see, car video systems are great for use in vehicles, but
if this is the only place where you are using the player, there is a
great chance you are under-utilizing it.
